A beautiful little cottage in a surprisingly quiet location. A very quiet haven to wake up in and return to at night which was in sharp contrast to the bustle of the popular sights of the Lake District. The owners have provided everything you could want.

We appreciate the location, the views from Wren's Nest, the ease of access to the A66, north and south and its proximity to Keswick. This was our third visit and, hopefully, we shall return next year.

A very quiet secluded cosy cottage for two with good facilities and great views from the living area. Within easy access to the A66 to visit many beautiful places in the Lakes, well located for walking away from road and traffic. A great place for a relaxing break.

The cottage is ideally situated for walking the hills and valleys around Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite lake. There are plenty of good eating places within a few minutes travel and the views from the lounge are brilliant. Altogether a lovely little spot for a break.

Wren's Nest, though small, was comfortable, cosy and well-equipped with modern conveniences. The situation is superb. Though we went out each day, we looked forward to getting back to base.

Wren's Nest has stunning views. There are walks all around it and you don't need to use the car if you don't want to. It's a cosy cottage to return to in the evening.

We stayed here for a week from 22nd August to 2nd September 2016. It was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful beautiful Lake District. We loved every minute of it. The little kitchen area was perfect for cooking up a meal after a fantastic hike, to then sit at the little patio table outside and eat whilst looking out over Dodd Woods and the surrounding area. Bassenthwaite lake was only a short stroll away too. Fantastic place to stay. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

We liked the friendly welcome and help we got from the owners. The accommodation itself was just perfect for two. We also liked the situation of the property, secluded and yet close enough to facilities. We also liked the superb views.
