Y Ddraig Deg description

Holiday home
Y Ddraig Deg is a terraced cottage in the village of Tanygrisiau near Blaenau Ffestiniog in Wales. The cottage can sleep four people in two bedrooms which comprise of a king-size double room and a twin. There is also a ground floor bathroom, a sitting room with multi-fuel stove and a second sitting room with a foldaway dining table. Outside is off road parking for one car, an enclosed yard, and a front lawned garden with furniture. Y Ddraig Deg is a pretty cottage in an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area.

Area
Tanygrisiau, meaning "below the steps", refers to the stepped cliffs above this traditional Welsh village. The Moelwyn mountains protect the village from much of the northerly gales in the winter, and give it a pleasant southerly aspect with relatively mild weather considering its location high in Snowdon.

Region
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Lovely property, each room with variable heating and plenty of hot water if needed. Beautifully clean and with most things that you would want to be available as a home from home. I would highly recommend this to others. A great location to explore the Snowdonia area.

A charming, well presented property which was immaculately clean. It had a comfortable bed and was very warm. A great location to explore Snowdonia National Park from.

This is an amazing holiday home hideaway! Beautifully renovated with original features. Solid fuel oven still in kitchen..........yes there is the modern electric one for cooking, Original fire, oven and woodburner in the lounge, electric heating throughout. Magnificent views from the bedrooms and front rooms, even in the rain the scenery is enchanting. Just 2 minute walk from a lakeside cafe with wild views, waterfalls, mountain railway station. Ideal based for walking, climbingcanoeing, paragliding, cross-country skiing. Central for north Wales tourist hotspots and Llyn Peninsula with golden beaches. We visited in winter and even on rainy days the cottage was cosy and area beautifully wild
